Investigating Language Learning Strategies Used Among Afghan Post Graduate TESL Students When Reading Academic Texts

This study aims at investigating the language learning strategies used among afghan Post Graduate Students Universiti Teknologi Malaysia UTM when reading academic texts. Oxford's (1990) strategy inventory questionnaire has been to collect data. The respondents of are thirty Afghan from Teaching English as a Second Language TESL program, including twenty eight male and two female students first, second, third fourth semesters. finding research indicated that high users strategies, their most preferable metacognitive, social, cognitive affective compensation, memory strategies.
